Application Gallery

3D FDTD is often used to simulate planar photonic crystal (PC) waveguide devices. However, theses devices tend to be large in size and highly resonant, which means that the simulations typically require large amounts of memory and simulation time.  For the examples in this section, we will use the 2.5D FDTD propagation method in MODE to simulate these devices much more efficiently.
